Services For People Living with HIV / AIDS
All services of the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont are free and confidential.
We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
To this end, we provide:
Case Management
Assistance for HIV positive individuals in receiving and maintaining needed medical, social and vocational services. We provide referrals to and coordination with a broad range of services in the community.
Benefits Advocacy
Assistance with applications for state and federal insurance programs that provide medical services, medications, dental care, Social Security and disability issues.
Financial Assistance
Limited state and agency funding to assist eligible clients with housing, mental health care, substance use treatment, transportation, nutrition, emergencies and other needs related to HIV/AIDS care.
Healthy Living Food Program
We provide frozen food, non-perishable food, fresh fruits and vegetables, nutritional supplements and personal care items to our HIV positive clients. We offer items on a rotating basis that are available at our offices. This program is supported by the Vermont Foodbank, members of area faith communities and shoppers at the Brattleboro Food Co-op.
